iOS does not allow third-party apps to change the active Focus mode directly. Smart Focus determines which Focus mode should be activated and passes its name to the Shortcuts app, which performs the change.
First opening of the application
Tap on Request Permissions

Tap on "Allow"

Tap on "Allow Full Access"
Tap on "Manage Focus" to set them
Set the Focus you want to use.
Set the name according to the configuration on your phone (Apple doesn't alllow to retrieve them)
Important: Focus mode names must exactly match the names used in iPhone Settings, including spelling, spaces, and capitalization.
After, tap Back
Select the Focus you want during a meeting.
Select the Focus you want on the working days and the time.
Select the Focus you want on the non working days and the time. Please note that the second setting is the time to swicth on this Focus on Working day. If you don't want, put the same time as the end time for the working days.
Select the Focus and the time you want during the night. Can be different for working or non working days.
Select the Focus you want on holidays.
Tap "Back"
Example: On working days, use Work from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Personal from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Sleep after 11:00 PM.
Select your main calendar
Decide if you want use the Do Not Disturb Focus when the event is an all-day event.
Decide if you want use the Do Not Disturb Focus when the event is in tentative status.
Decide if you don't want use the Do Not Disturb Focus when the event title is "put your word".
Decide if you want use the Holiday Focus when the event title is "put your word"
(optional) Select the public holidays (if exist, depend the country and you mail box)
If you selected a public holidays calendar, tap on Select public holidays.

Select all days when you want be in holiday Focus mode
Tap back twice
Tap on "System".
You can chose the theme.
Chose the notifications you want.
⚠️ All notification means a notification on all execution.
Tap on "Back"
You can download the shortcut template or create from zero.
The template can run with 5 different focus mode : Do Not Disturb, Work, Personal, Holiday and Sleep. Rename if yours have a different name.

Create a new shortcut.
Search and select Smart Focus
Select "Select Focus mode".
Add an "If"
Put in the If the variable "Select Focus Mode"
Put in the if after "is" the "none" (in the language of the application)
Add action "Set Focus"
In this action, select whatever the focus mode "Do No Disturb" in the screenshot
After "Otherwise", add action "Set Focus"
Set it with "Select Focus Mode"
Set until "on"
The shortcut is now complete.
Create an automation in shortcuts app.
Choose Time of Day
⚠️ unfortunately it is not possible to have a recurrence on the same day. You must create the execution for each hour you want it. (eg every 15 min)
Choose the time, Repeat Daily, run immediately and next.
Select your shortcut
Repeat for all time you want the execution
That’s it! Smart Focus will now determine the appropriate Focus mode based on your schedule, calendar events, working days, and public holidays. Your automation will regularly run the shortcut and apply the selected mode.
